Have you ever noticed how ideas in Science keep changing? One minute we are told that blueberries are a superfood, and the next it’s something new? That if we exercise for 3 times a week it’s enough and then the next it’s 5? I can think of simply hundreds of examples of this, and I’m sure you can too. This is largely due to how we absorb scientific literature through popular media; newspapers, social media, television. One scientific paper is jumped on, and hailed as the answer, when in fact Science is a bit more complicated than that. Not every scientific paper is fact, it’s an experiment that gets us closer to fact. In the grey areas of human-nature interactions, the work is either not reported in the same way or the research is simply not there.
One of the key pillars for The Burnout Rebellion is reconnecting with our environment, with nature and the wider ecosystem so that we become the best versions of ourselves. There are hundreds of studies that show our intricate connection, yet not many seem to make it into popular media, or are over simplified in their representation. In this week’s bitesize episode, I delve into why understanding science and spirituality is key to our realignment journey. Providing the introduction to the upcoming live sessions (free for all, more information below) and my monthly tutorials (paid subscription), where I share with you the science behind the spirituality, and how to use it to realign yourself and your soul.
