I purposely waited to read this post from you until I had time to really sit in the quiet and soak it all in. I suppose my intuition told me to do that. And I’m so glad I listened. What an incredible gathering of so much inspiration and information, my friend. You have a gift of gathering your thoughts and creating something that offers a deep dive for those of us who read your words and listen to your voice. There was so much here that resonated with me that I will head down some rabbit holes about enjoying the passage of time, rearrange my altar, and scribble thoughts and plans in my journal. Thank you for the perfect start to my Sunday morning. Warm hugs and love to you. xx
Thank you! I enjoyed all of this, but especially your reading of the poem - it made me gasp a little, there at the end. It's a brillant poem that is still reverbarating through my bones (and probably will for all of today) and your reading of it is very beautiful, purring cat included.
That poem is just so wonderful. I read it to my sister at the weekend and she was exactly the same. It’s very special, and I’m so glad it resonated with you too. I hope it continues to sit with you, and it’s magic works on all of us!
This line really struck me: 'What is this relentless fight we have against the seasons?' It's such a profound question. I wonder if it's rooted in a fear of change, a societal pressure to be productive at all costs, or perhaps a disconnection from our own bodies and the natural world.
Thank you so much Alexander. I’m glad that sentence struck a chord. I imagine it’s all of those. It just fascinated me how the slip began to happen, that pivotal moment when we turned our back on it all. It’s interesting to see the world come full circle again.
This is really quite brilliant Anna! 👏 You have diagnosed the problem (our disconnection from natural rhythms and processes) and provided a rich toolkit for remediation. Deep wisdom here. Well done!
Thank you so much, so lovely to hear. I am glad you have enjoyed the writing, and I hope we all get back to some sort of connection with nature, I think it would help with many many things.
